About the Award
The Vonwiller Award for Children & Young Artists (formerly known as The Eve Vonwiller Youth Art Awards) is a prestigious biannual award presented by Gallery Lane Cove + Creative Studios that is dedicated to celebrating the artistic talent of children and young artists aged 5-17.
Named in honour of Eve Vonwiller, a revered member of our community, teacher, and advocate for children's art education, the award aims to recognise and nurture creativity among the youth, as well as provide opportunities for the development of their talents.
For the theme, "Curious Creations", we want you to come up with an artwork (or two) that shows us how creative you are. What's the most fascinating, unique or weird thing you can think of? Let your imagination run wild - the stranger it is, the better!

How to Participate
Submissions Open: 7 June
Submit your entry through our website, which includes a high-resolution image of your artwork(s).
Submissions Close: 12 July
The entry form will close 11:59pm on 12 July and entries will no longer be accepted.
Drop your artwork(s) off at GLC+CS: 15 - 20 July
All artworks that are entered into The Vonwiller Award will be displayed in an exhibition at GLC+CS. That means that from 15 - 20 July, you will have to drop off your artwork(s) at the gallery in order to be included in the exhibition.
Judging of the works: 30 July
Once all the works have been put up for display, they will be judged and the winners will be decided.
Exhibition dates: 30 July - 10 August
The exhibition displaying all entries will be on for 2 weeks and is available to the public.
Opening Event: Wednesday 31 July, 6-8pm
Be sure to attend the opening event, where we will be announcing the winners and celebrating all the wonderful works!
Collecting Your Works: 13 - 17 August
After the exhibition closes on 10 August, please collect your works from the gallery latest before Saturday 17 August.

Is it free to enter?
Yes, it is absolutely free to enter this prize.

I don't live in Lane Cove - can I still participate?
Yes, entries are open to young artists aged 5-17 from all over Australia, even those from outside of New South Wales. However, please note that artworks will have to be physically delivered to the gallery (via post or other means) in order to be a part of the exhibition, and you will have to arrange to have the work picked up after the end of the exhibition. GLC+CS is not liable for any postage fees nor any lost mail.

Accepted mediums include drawings, paintings, mixed media, prints, photographs, and even video works!
