Celebrate Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras with a Sundowner and exhibition tour of Queer Materials and soft tongues, gritted teeth.

To celebrate Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras Festival 2025, Lane Cove Council would like to invite you to a free LGBTIQA+ networking event and exhibition tour!

The exhibitions Queer Materials and soft tongues, gritted teeth showcase sculptures, video, installation and paintings by a diverse group of emerging, mid-career and established artists focusing on the importance of Queer storytelling, experience, identity and representation.

Enjoy bubbles and canapés on arrival, view the works on display, and meet other members of your local LGBTIQA+ community. Join Gallery Manager and Curator Miguel Olmo for a private tour of the exhibitions, followed by drinks and refreshments.

5:30pm - Arrive and mingle over a glass of bubbles and canopies

6:15pm - Gallery Lane Cove will offer a tour of the Queer Material exhibition

7:00pm - Continue to share light refreshments and connect with new and old friends.

Tickets are free but spaces are limited so bookings are essential. This is an exclusive event for Lane Cove's LGBTIQA+ community and our allies.
